Life is Goodby bspurgeonComment: Oh wow! He looks like someone I would have stopped and approached to take his picture :) That's why I like it so much. But I'm betting. . .he's gonna put that $5 to gooood use, don't you? :) But nice of him to work for such cheap modeling fees, huh?

Dry Bread - Week 5by lunachickenComment: This is awesome! And yes, you should have entered it into the free study and given Irene a run for her money :)
I love the story behind it. It's so amazing to watch the resourcefulness of animals. I really love this photo.

Illuminatedby RetroesqueComment: OhmyGOSH, Lisa! This is absolutely a-MAZING! How in the WORLD did you get such crisp focus in such low light. Ok. I notice you used your 50mm. Note to self: "Get the 50mm out and practice with it more!" I haven't used it much because I haven't been able to get enough depth of field to keep even my whole subject in focus. But I would use it exclusively if I could turn out a photo like this.

Moon over Mainzby MelethiaComment: Wow again! I can see why it got such recognition. It is flawless night photography. You are so good at capturing that moon just at the right time in the right spot! Seems I remember one stunning Texas State Capitol photo of yours with the moon in it too.

Boat and bridgeby MelethiaComment: Oh man. This is beautiful! Beautifully shot oritinally, and then beautifully processed to make its beauty even more enhanced. You are going to have suuuuch a scenery depression when you come back to Texas. I bet you decide to live there forever. I think I might.

Week 06 by KenComment: Ohmygoodness! And I was excited today because we got a chilly gray "winter" day that dropped into the upper 50's. I have to say, I disagree with Quiche tho. Because I think the fisheye works great because just looking at your daughter in all that snow makes me a little dizzy and disoriented :) So the slight, but now unrealistic effect for me seems to add to the dizzying task set before her even more.
It's hard to get my mind around how different life is for people in my very own country.
