Original:

I tried a lot of different things with this, most of which I didn't like. This version is OK - I like it better than the original, anyway! Cropped, ran an action called "SuperFunHappy" and tweaked that. Sharpened. There's actually quite a bit of detail on the shore on the far side that simply can't be seen at DPC size.

To answer Lynne's question, this was shot with a tripod. I'd gone down to shoot from the bridge you can just see on the right, but it was really windy (and cold!) and bridges seriously move when it's windy!

Wow! Gorgeous mix of warm and cool. Lovely dramatic sky, beautiful colors. I'll bet this really looks fantastic large.

This just feels like dusk with those colors! This give me a nice, calm feeling and I like how my eye is pulled from left to right and back again by the subjects at the edges.

This has worked so well. The original obviously had all the elements, but your crop and processing has turned it into something else. Great work.

Oh man. This is beautiful! Beautifully shot oritinally, and then beautifully processed to make its beauty even more enhanced. You are going to have suuuuch a scenery depression when you come back to Texas. I bet you decide to live there forever. I think I might.

The edit brought out some nice light and detail. The bridge looks interesting, especially the way the lights refect off the water. Do you have more pics of that bridge from this session?

Gorgeous! I love how you've nipped off some of the bottom, makes it feel more wide angle than it already is. And the colors pop beautifully, you've brought out wonderful detail in the sky! I'd love to see it larger :-)

I like the feeling of width with the negative space being in the middle. Happy V-Day, Deb.

This is really beautiful, did you shoot it handheld? Is it very old? Guess I should look at your orig and answer my own questions.
