A bee in my bouquet!by arpitaComment: oh, how i like this. good bokeh. too bad you didn't burn in the highlights on the side of the bee--that really takes away from an otherwise incredible capture. i really love the organization of the image. it gives you the feeling of the bee, floating from one island to another. great work, good luck! |

What's the point?by gajmajComment: i keep coming back to this image over and over, and i still don't know what to make of it. i like it. it has some very interesting qualities. the composition and focus are incredible. there is nothing i can add here except to say, "good luck!" |

Concertoby ellamayComment: beautiful image, and overall, a stunning capture. the background, though, is a bit too in focus. this is a place where you really could have taken advantage of the advanced editing rules: by selecting for the background and creating a layer from that, you could have applied a gaussian blur that would have easily put this on the front page! you still might consider doing that; it would make one killer print! good luck! |

Early Riserby BradComment: this is almost perfect. a little on the dark side, but i'm not going to complain. great work. hope to see you on the front page! |

Enchanting Rain by instepsComment: this is an interesting image with good bokeh. i wonder if you could have shot it on a slightly different angle that would have allowed you to keep the whole subject in sharp focus. well, i won't quibble about that. the colors are outstanding and you definitely hit the challenge. hope to see you on the home page! |

Holiday Afterglowby kirbicComment: you have achieved bokeh, of sorts, but it isn't really enhancing your image. here, it has an artificial quality that is more of a distraction than anything else. overall, i find the composition is very busy, almost like you were trying to get as much into the image as possible. |

Morning Dewby ChiquiComment: interesting composition. i like the subdued bokeh (as opposed to some of the seriously-in-your-face bokeh). however, the reed with the droplet is too soft and blown out, which really undermine the image. if that reed could have stood out without the blowouts, the image would have had a much stronger impact. good luck! |

A Boy and his Fishby jab119Comment: most excellent bokeh! cannot say the same about the time of day you chose to shoot, though--you have lost too many details in a statuette that looks like it has a story to tell. and that's a shame, because this is a great example of using the background to make the subject pop. good luck! |
