boy, this is a tough one to read. i can't tell if she's happy, or just really hoping to get this over with...
i hope you're getting good comments and suggestions, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. if your scores and comments are not where you want them to be, please don't take it personally; just consider this a good starting point for the rest of the year. one suggestion i'd make is that images of children are very risky in challenges, unless they offer something that allows non-related viewers to emotionally connect with the subject. i get the feeling that this image is not going to connect to too many viewers/voters. if that's the case, don't let it dissuade you. keep on shooting and submitting, and i'm sure you will get where you want to be! good luck!

low tide?!? looks more like 'no tide' is that mist, or is it dust? ay-yi-yi. what a wild, interesting image. it really takes a while to work through, and i hope viewers are giving it the time it deserves--otherwise, they are really missing out! good luck with the challenge!

oh, what a fun place to be! and what i would give to be there now...
this is a great backdrop for your portrait. i think, though, the composition is off just a bit, that there is too much background behind your subject that leads the eye away from your subject, rather than to her. the lighting and colors are wonderful, as is her expression. hopefully, you'll get some other comments and suggestions, and that you won't get lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge! good luck in this and the challenges to come!
