Great model but poor background with bin and doors.

nice pose, but a shame the background could not be so light.

Just from her eye and her hair, you can tell right off the bat that you have a beautiful model to work with...but in my opinion you didn't take full advantage of that. The background is distracting and there are a lot of annoying hot spots. The light on her is nice, but the background doesn't fit the photo.

If I were you I'd get this girl back for some more photos in a nice, flattering environment and see what you can do.

Arg. I wish a little more of her face was visible. Nice idea. Also if you had gone with a larger aperature you could have faded out some of that slightly distractive background.

nice portrait. love the expression. i hope you're getting some good comments and suggestions, and not getting lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. i might suggest that you blur out the background a bit more, as it is busy enough to distract from your otherwise interesting subject. good luck in this and the coming challenges!

Sexy! Personal taste: Wish the background were blurred out completely. As is it takes away from the model. Still a ver nice pose and shot. BOL

interesting idea, though to be honest Im not completly sold on having that much of her face covered in hair. Additionally the background is a little too blown out. I'd try a closer crop around the head to minimise the effect of that.

Too bad we don't see her face.

I like that through the hair i can see a glimpse of a smile. This picture has a "mona lisa" feel!

I like the contrast between your model and the backround. It takes you right to her face

For me, only seeing one eye really detracts from what could be a lovely portrait.

don't get it.

The lighting on her face (what I can see of it) seems alright but the background is too blown out. I don't like that her hair is hiding most of her face. Hair in front of the face can be used well but I think there's just too much in front on this one.

Lovely portrait, pity about the distracting background. Some work in PS could possibly improve.

You have a good looking model here, the only thing that ruins the photo is the background ===> the trash bin, the mall's doors, they just don't enhance this portrait. I would have looked for a more appealing background, or cropped in tight to eliminate the distracting background. Always pay attention to your background because its an important part of a portrait, I hope this helps...

Background's blown out, composition is very static. Cropping more tightly would have helped a lot.
