Erasureby SkipComment: thanks for all the kind comments. i felt like i was taking quite a risk submitting it, and i'm glad i did. it's good to know that sometimes these type of images can make it through a challenge without being completely picked over ;-)
here's another sunset, cropped and framed a bit differently, but shot using the same technique

Beautiful, even in death..by okiesisiComment: SiSi, I'm sorry about the first comment I made on your image, as I don't really think it was that helpful, especially considering the context of the challenge. Sure, there are a number of things you could do differently from a technical standpoint to improve the image, but what you have done so far is not without merit. I'm glad to see you improving, and as long as you keep trying, you'll get where you want to be. |

Rain Danceby BAMartinComment: oh, wow! this is simply wonderful. you have captured the spirit of life. thank you for sharing. i really, really hope this is getting the attention it deserves, and hopefully without any comments about what to do differently. this image is exactly what you wanted it to be, and i'm loving it! this site needs more images like this! [ok, i'm starting to ramble...just can't help it--this tends to happen when i hit a breath of fresh air like this!] good luck with this and all the challenges yet to come!

Late to Workby debitiptonComment: Yee-haa! Love this! Too bad you didn't get this into the Breaking Ground challenge, it just flat out rocks. Really love the departure you're making here from your razor-sharp studio work. Way to go, Debi! This is going right into my faves! Message edited by author 2005-01-26 20:13:22. |

Off the Wall by scalvertComment: and skippy nails another one (it only took me 27 minutes to ID his shot)! great work, absolutely great work, shannon! congrats!
and, btw, i don't think most people realize JUST HOW HARD YOU HAD TO WORK AT THIS to make this image happen! it goes a quite a bit beyond what's in the liner notes, so far...like how many clicks it took to get it just right! if this was any other child, they'd be after him for breaking child labor laws...LOL Message edited by author 2005-01-26 00:10:15. |
