ok, since dpc doesn't have subtitles, i'll forgive you for doing the next best thing. even so, i don't think it was necessary. this is a free study, and you're being judged on the image, not how you got to the image. the image itself is pretty good work. nice colors, great motion. love the bottle! very, very strong composition. i really hope this does well. good luck!

ok, you have caught a splash. however, the colors don't really work that well for me. while this is fairly ok from a technical standpoint, it's not what i would call a strong challenge entry, at least not in a free study. granted, there's a fine line between entering what makes you happy and appealing to the masses, but, if it's votes you want, you have to make that appeal--and i don't see much of that here...

i love the subject and basic composition, but am not too keen on the sky. i may be wrong, but it just feels over-processed. i think the subject could be the focus of a study in and of itself. good luck!

this is an intriguing image, especially with such strong contrast. at this point, i have to believe i'm seeing exactly what you wanted me to see, the way it was intended. as much as i can appreciate that, i can only hope that the others are treating it favorably, as well. thanks for sharing!

just an update...i've commented on almost half the entries at this point, and this is still my absolute fave in the challenge. not that will get you anything--i don't usually pick the winners. but, all the same, this is just a great image, and i hope you're getting some good scores!

well, if i wasn't awake before, i sure am now! that is BRIGHT. it appears to be a bit overexposed, in that there's not much detail in between the light and dark areas. unfortunately, i think that takes away from the image as a whole. while it does initially get your attention, it doesn't leave much to look at afterwards. all the same, i hope this does well for you. good luck with the challenge!

[btw, are those sensor spots in the center left of the image? you might consider healing them out, or, adjusting the brighness/contrast a bit. as is, i can't tell if they are part of what you were shooting at, or a detail overlooked...]
