I-485 VSVTby zmaerdComment: this looks cool, but for me, it's done in by the background--just not enough blur. your background has so much sameness to it, that without the absense of some blur on the wheels, it almost looks like the car is parked... |

car in motion panningby anindyaComment: this is the type of entry that blows my mind. sorry if you find this offensive, but really. you have a decent camera. i have to assume you went out to shoot for the challenge. this was the best you could do? you were on the right track...why'd you quit? why didn't you look for a car with color that wouldn't blend into the background? why didn't you try to find a background that would offer interesting colors when blurred together? this one looks like it was a shot that 'got away', but you decided to go with it anyways. motion panning shots are fun and can be interesting, but they do take practice; the thing is, practice doesn't cost anything but time. oh well. |

Jumping Girl.by WessyComment: yes, she's in motion, but if you look at the rest of the entries, you'll get a better idea as to how you could have taken this subject and opportunity and done much better with a different composition. the idea was for the camera to be moving in order to capture something in motion--and the more movement, the better. her, your shutter and flash combination worked more to freeze the action than to follow it. |

windby charlievComment: interesting abstract, but not giving me any sense of motion panning. |

Dartby cubixComment: my personal opinion? it's too perfect of a shot, especially from a technical standpoint. without any blur or context from the background, it feels as sterile as something that comes from a lab. |

On The Runby KitaComment: nice idea, but you gave up too soon. just not enough synchronization with the subject to really nail it. |

Centrifugal Forceby mpetersComment: wow. this could have been great. cute subject, something with controllable motion, interesting angle. you should have worked at it a bit more, from slightly different angles and with slightly slower shutter speeds. as is, the tip of the shoe being in focus says you were on the right track, but not quite getting there. |

Cruisin'by janskuComment: sorry, but your shutter was a bit to quick. except for the slight blur of the tire, this car would be sitting still. you may have achieved something that meets the challenge, but, all the same, it doesn't really grab me. |
