At first I was inclined to say you missed the challenge, but upon reflection I realize that many farming communities would put this front and center on the local newspaper. Technically this is a great shot with powerful diagonals and a great story... ~ MyQyl ~

Composition ~ The horizon slope sharply to the left. Sharply enough so I assume it was intentional. I'm not sure if it works for me though. The large 'negative' space of the sky works well, but would have worked better if the stars had shown up better. Perhaps this kind of shot really need to be taken away from the lights... ~ Exposure ~ Again I think the sky was doomed to be underexposed by the surrounding street lights... ~ Focus ~ The transparent image of the person seems to lack focus... ~ Challenge ~ I'm not sure I see where you are going with this. I'll give it some thought and try to revisit this later in the week and see if I get it... ~ Myqyl ~

For this to have nailed the challenge, you needed to show the new corner... Possibly even workers moving it if you were lucky enough to be there during the move... The crop seems a bit too close for me to get a good idea what this sculpture looks like. ~ MyQyl ~

Overexposing Underexposure

Great concept! A shot I've seen in many underground music scene papers. Composition ~ I'm missing the bottom of the guitar. There was probably a reason you had to crop it out, but it is very distracting to me. Also (and this is a nitpick) I think it would have been a stronger shot if the left hand was actually fingering a chord... Exposure ~ From your title, I assume the blow out on the hand was intentional, but it doesn't work for me. Luckily (and I'm sure intentionally) it's not completely blown out and some detail is still there. Focus ~ Killer! You nailed it... I love the DOF you used here. ~ Myqyl ~
