Hi Dawn, I read your post in the scores thread. First of all congrats on a nice finish in your first challenge. a plus 5 score first time out is pretty good!

What they are talking about with the curves adjustments is, in lightroom on the right side when in "develop" mode. It is called "tone curve" and allows you to bring the highlights out a bit more and make the shadows a bit darker. this will give your photo more "snap" to it and make the deer pop off the page better. I also agree with the idea of cropping it to make it a horizontal shot because of all the extra space at top and bottom which do not really add to the photo.

Here are a couple of quick edits I did to demonstrate what was mentioned. I hope it helps. Take care and good luck in future challenges.

Lovely shot Agnes! You got me on this one. For some reason the trolls did not like mine and gave it 11 votes of 1! It looks like your shot suffered from some of those nasty "cat haters". I really do not understand this place! All the low voting trolls (you have 11 that are 3 and under) and no comments because they are gutless cowards.

With all the strange voting patterns in this challenge I really, really hope the SC is investigating
