A very good portrait and very well framed. The tonal values are exceedingly good and one wishes the the tonal values would have also been applied to the frame to avoid the burn out areas. Outside of this the gaze and facial expression is just great along with the hand placement. Enough charm to receive another bump.

A very nice image though i doubt that DPC is ready for it. It is more a graphical reprentation and these images do invite the famous bell curve.

As a a graphical art study it is great because it chooses to lean on the understatement with a nice soothing tint. Of course, the beauty of the subject begs the conventional full tonal values to appreciate it even more.

Good and honest character revelation. The facial expression and hand placement make the image endearing. The image has a searching look which we are all familiar. However, outside of the superb composition the lighting enhances the impact. A tiny minor flaw, but one easily forgiven in self portraits is the rendition of the left pupil. It lacks the crispness of the right. Yet, the image has enough substance to over ride this inequality. Bumping up to 7

From the shells and up to the flower wreath along with the joyous facial expression this image begs admiration. The face angle and the eyes' gaze jutting towards the left of the frame add an element of friendly tension which the great smile immediately dissolve. A very good effort with good color to boot.
