...Not quite. She is pleasant on the eyes, however. Lighting is rather harsh and there is a stair-step artifact introduced with overzealous edge sharpening.

Hmm...hand drawn shadow? Kudos for creativity! This is why I enjoy using this website. Quite inspiring :)

Good entry on artistic and technical grounds.

I think you missed an important venue for expressing your perspective on this entry by leaving it untitled. The sky has an unnatural hue and saturation as a result of what I suspect to be an overindulgence of hue/saturation adjustment. If the sky was indeed this color, then I commend you for an excellent capture. The motion blur is excellent in reinforcing the message here and quite appropriate for the challenge theme. Don't be shy in giving your entries a creative title. Ultimately, you are hurting yourself.

Odd post processing. The foreground female appears to be pasted onto the backdrop, which I suspect is a result of aggressive sharpening, The size of the entry is rather small and if you had utilized the maximum 640 pixel allowance, better detail would be seen in the female's eyes and facial features. The backdrop can use a slight boost in contrast to make the night sky really dark. This would improve the posterization effect evident in the girl's hair/hat. Overall there is nothing glaringly deficit, and I wish you luck in this and future submissions.

Surface tension study? In either event, point well conveyed and appropriate for challenge theme. Lighting improvement: I suggest using a fill flash to better illuminate your subject. It may alter the reflections on the bubbles adversely, or it may actually improve it. In either event, there is strong available back lighting afforded by the sun and thus the exposure on the child's face suffers.

This scores high for originality and creativity. Artistically, I especially like the sharp distinction between the contrast in the flute and the female. Well done and tastefully executed in that regard. I think the lighting on the candles is a bit harsh and there is a distinct blue cast. Doesn't really detract too much, but I'm just noting that as a possibility for further refinement. One other issue from an artistic standpoint: there is a lot of drip on the table surface which creates some chaos in the overall presentation. I think a quick clean-up could have been in order for more refinement in the artistic aspect. One other suggestion which may, or may not work, is that the table surface could have been covered with a matte or non-reflective cloth which may add further mystery to this dramatic shot.

Good capture. The artistic presentation and relevance to challenge theme is quite good. Love the skip on the water surface. Gives a sense of speed. Now, technically this is quite adequate. Only suggestion would be to go a little easier on the noise reduction. There is a subtle but distinct loss of fine detail in the spray and particularly in the distant hills.

Interesting IR like appearance. Not making the connection with the challenge because I imagine you are trying to convey leaves rustling in the cold winter wind. I'm not certain that this image adequately conveys that message. Artistically quite tasteful presentation. Technically, appears to have everything in order. DOF, exposure, focus, detail, tonal range.

Oops, did we forget to give this a title? If it was your intention to 'untitle' this, I think you missed a good oppertunity to give us your perspective on this shot. As it stands, this is a fantastically sharp, well executed and interestingly angled. I think your link with the challenge theme is certainly there, but this image is more about the beauty of the bird, rather than the wind beneath its wings.

Kudos for creativity. Simple, conveys the point. Overall the photo is rather flat. The textured wall does not add enough interest to captivate the audience. Technically the image has adequate sharpness, focus, and exposure.
