All forgottenby terjeComment: too me this is peaceful not desolaate, however since the challenge is what does desolation to you, I am not letting this affect my vote for the challenge, but maybe others feel the same. the DoF on your shot is amazing and composition is great. |

Broken Dreamsby xXxscarletxXxComment: excellent, a very powerful image, and I can see intensity in the eyes and I like how it forces the viewer to feel the emotion of the girl, great job. 10 |

My life....at the end of a chainby tmorninglory96Comment: good capture and like the expression of the dog, and the literal use of the title is good. I would have maybe gone with a different duotone choice or black and white, it is alittle too purple. I dont feel desolation without the title, but since the description of the challenge is what it means to you I am not judging on those grounds, just my thoughts |

Falloutby AghrisComment: really like your post processing you did on this I will have to come back and see how you did, I like how you have the backlighting and details in the model and still in the right side of the sky |

Vacancyby L1Comment: interesting photo, all the horizontals but it would be nice to have the walls come out of the frame be even, or maybe shoot from a lower angle so that walls fill the entire frame. I like the depth of field and lines running through the picture leading to the wall in the back |

Aloneby HrutsenComment: the place you found seem very desolate and I like the wave in the background rushing in, but I would have off centered the model maybe to the left side and had abit more of the waves |

Wretchedness - Feeling Blueby TajhadComment: You did a good job trying to capture a difficult lighting situation, but I think the background is a little too blown out, I may have tried to have the model and foreground alittle darker so the highliights would be alittle less blown out. just a suggestion |

Double Helix by jdannelsComment: Originally posted by edmeng: Ok, I admit, you bit my top D50 score, but I’ve changed my camera, so I don’t care anymore ;).
Congrats on your blue! awesome shot! |
Thanks edmeng, I didn't think I would actually pass your score but just had my eye on it. I would definitely trade that score and ribbon for a D200 any day! |

Thanks, I had been eyeing that top D50 score for awhile now, I realized about mid week that I would get there and was almost as excited for that as I was at a chance at a ribbon. |
