Sorry to hear your shot was before the challenge dates. Its really an amazing shot. :)
I saw you were wondering about the purple on the edge of your image. This is caused from the sensor heating up from being on for so long, it creates little hot spots. It happens with really long exposures. Hope this helps.

piano manby nixterComment: I knew this was yours, wearing your inconspicuous 14 ft platform shoes to get just the right angle you love so much. That or you are in fact the Batman.
Great light coming through. In my book anytime you can break a 6 with a street photography shot in a FS it is a huge success. I think you entering consistently excellent street work has opened up many voters to the skill involved. Congrats on the great finish.

Master of Ceremoniesby JBHaleComment: Hey jaime, this shot is awesome I remember it from voting stages and am glad it finished so well! If I had to guess on the lighting, I would say I think they may have had "truss spots" above the stage. People who sit up where the lights are hanging and have a movable spotlight to follow the action on stage from the lighting director. Having done this job before and seen others do it, there is how shall I say "differing levels of accuracy" of the truss spotters and maybe you captured the light as the truss spot missed the cue slightly and hit the crowd with the light barely hitting the emcee. Also his white shirt is basically acting as a giant reflector for the crowd right in front of him, which could explain why the people on the right are so well lit, his chest is facing them giving the most light to them. Either way it is very good concert shot, Congrats on the PB and in a Free Study! |
