Ghostwriterby gkochComment: Very attractive. Lighting, angle, ROT all good. What was your reflective surface? I can see a little reflection behind the upright pencil also. =9 syamjonimi |

Pencil Pencil Pencilby dmakComment: Um.....I'm not a big fan of using the challenge category in the title and you did it 3 times. There is some good distortion factor going on here, if it were a little lighter and better focus would help me with this score. syamjonimi ;'-( |

classicby aelithComment: Good photo. i especially like the lighting and hope you will share this set up with us when the voting is over. The same set-up with different lighting and a different book might work well for the childhood challenge. =9 syamjonimi ;'-D |

A Sharp Pointby AgamemnonComment: A bit soft on the focus, The one green eraser in the top left and the words just the left most pencil are distracting and ruins the symmetry. there is also some white background at the botttom right and what I think might be lighting glare on a ding in the right pencil. Good title and color contrast is good. Creative idea.... =5 syamjonimi |

Wood, graphite, metal and rubberby GuillermoComment: Seems very cluttered. My eye doesn't know exactly where to look first. Not a bad photo by any means. It just doesn't hold any WOW power for me persoanlly. |

The Pencil That Wasby fas-ligandComment: This reminded me soooo much of my grandmother....... She was deathly afraid of snakes. Once when I was visiting she came in from the garden and said she had seen a snake in the shed and had chopped it's head off with the hoe. Being a curious child, I wanted to see. The poor little sanke was about the same diameter as this pencil and in approximately the same number of pieces......Thanks for the memory. This is a very creative idea butm, a little on the dark side for me. =6 syamjonimi Now.....if I could only use this memory for Childhood...... :-D |

The Endby tomlewis1980Comment: I like the way the image draws the eye from the far left into the picture and then keeps the eye from drifting off the other side. This is very good for a white background. I think white background pictures are difficult to do well. The color combination is appealing also. The little bit of glare on the pencil and at the bottom of the sharpener are the only distracting features. Initially I scored this at the 5 range but now I see it is better than that. =7 syamjonimi |

NO. 2 in Tutu on Pointeby crisa58Comment: I would prefer a starker non textured background. Was it difficult to get the pencil to pose for this picture? This makes me smile.... |

Chemistryby jaxxComment: Nice color combinations. A little soft on the focus and a darker background and more even crop would give this more visual appeal. |
