I can't believe this got such a low score. I actually like the idea of what you did. Try increasing the contrast and it will look much better (in my opinion).

As far as the rude comments are concerned, while I agree that they were unnecessary, perhaps your title was partly to blame. Had you called it "High Key", people might have been more polite.

Beautiful images of what is, to me, an unfamiliar scene. I've only ever seen snow twice in my life - we seem to get snow about once every twenty years. I don't want to live with it, but I would like a proper chance to photograph it sometime.
