Rooftop Snowdriftsby pmichaudComment: Like roz I don't get to see snow very often - 3 times in my whole life - so I always wish I had the opportunity to get shots like this. |

Abstractby GinaRothfelsComment: Originally posted by glad2badad: Upside down apartment / hotel balcony - with a tilt. Nice handling of B&W tones. Only nit (big one) is the abstract feel of this is somewhat thin IMO. |
In hindsight I agree with you. I think I'd have done better to stick with my first edit.

I agree. I always seem to do better with black and white. |

Helloby GinaRothfelsComment: Originally posted by streetpigeon: Wow, gave this stunning image an 8 and am surprised that it hasn't resonated as I thought it would. Perhaps if it had fangs. |
My guess is that people were put off by the shallow depth of field. |

Who's That Girl?by GinaRothfelsComment: Originally posted by PennyStreet: I didn't get the title but I do like the photo and the unanswered questions and edginess. I gave it a 6 on first pass, had I reviewed it I think I would have gone to 7. |
The title refers to the girl they're looking at - the subject outside the frame. And yes, there was a girl. I even have the photo to prove it. |

What's Up?by GinaRothfelsComment: Originally posted by tnun: aha. grey parrot. had to look him up. lovely portrait. now we need a Red Tail challenge. |
Thanks. This is the only bird I have easy access to. The red one I used in another photo lives about an hour's drive from where I do. |

What's Up?by GinaRothfelsComment: Originally posted by tnun: it is odd: ordinarily I am put off by mixing black and white with a colour or two, but this is most genial. |
I'm usually against it too, but this is actually pretty close to the real colours, except for the fact that the background has been blacked out. |
