I'd have preferred this without some of the distracting stuff on the left. The corn alone would make a wonderful subject on a plain background.

Don't know what it is, but it doesn't matter. I like the abstract effect except for the distracting white section.

I'm not too keen on the colour cast. Perhaps if you'd converted it to black & white... I'd also have cropped away some of that empty black background, so that the top of the salt cellar wasn't in the centre of the picture.
