I like it but I have two suggestions: fix horizon so it is level and include the rest of the subject and position him at 1/3.

I gave this one an 8. I'm really surprised that it didn't do better. The shallow DOF might have hurt it but it should have ranked much higher.

This is an excellent photograph. The color tones work really well, technically it's superb. I had to deduct a little only because of the 'strength' challenge. Strength in numbers is a well known saying but this photo has more to do with numbers and less to do with strength. Great job

Impressive sky shot but the foreground doesn't work. The horizon is slanted. There should be an item of interest in the foregound or it needs to be so simple that it doesn't conflict with the sky. The current foregound only distracts from the sky.

I get the theme, it meets the challenge but this comes across as a simple snapshot. If I had to shoot this subject I might have zoomed in very close on one part of the engine as a macro shot and really picked up on the textures.

Include the subjects face from a different angle. Show exhaustion on the face. This person just appears to be sleeping. Focus needs to improve as well as the lighting, it's rather harsh. Keep it up.

Entire image is out of focus. I'm assuming that is a film container holding up the bookcase based on the title. It's not really obvious what it is and many might miss it altogether. There are to many items in the bookcase which adds to the clutter. Lighting could also be more dramatic. Keep at it.

Image is overexposed. I cannot make out the object on the floor. Image doesn't convey strength to me. Cute cat though, looks very soft.

I can't make the connection to strength. 2 of the main subjects are cropped off on their edges. The entire image appears to be slightly out of focus. Distractions in the upper left and lower right hand corners.

Very nice. If the lighting was a bit more uniform on the cards and you could have figured out a way to lose the reflections on the glass, it would have been magnificent.
