It takes strength and balance to handle life today. It takes it to hold up this water glass too.

I've had some people ask how this was done, what was the trick? There is no trick. The glass really is balancing on plying cards. The possible trick is that the cards are taped together and there is a fourth card taped to the back of the ace for added stability. Other than that, it's a straightforward shot.

Nice concept and sharp and clear for black and white shot and kudos to the person who thought this shot up

An interesting take on the theme. Nice lighting to bring out the glass textures and the bright white of the cards.

Very nice dual-tone. The reflections (especially yours) in the glass are distracting from an otherwise excellent photo.

I like your idea, and the execution is good. The only thing that troubles me is being able to clearly see the background reflected in the glass (ie: you taking the photo). Other than that, great!

I like the subject and the lighting on the cards is excellent. IMO the glass needs a little more light or contrast against the black backround. Well done.

Really like this picture, but I wish I couldn't see you in the glass.

Nice studio setup - like the use of all black and white in a color photo. I think the lighting seup could have been better executed as the top of the glass seems a bit weak. Both the left and right side of the top of the glass tend to merge into the background.

I really like the concept, but the photo quality is quite soft throughout

Nice concept too bad you couln't figure out a way to get rid of you in the reflection. Im not quite sure what would be a good way myself. I love the cards on end though.

Very nice. If the lighting was a bit more uniform on the cards and you could have figured out a way to lose the reflections on the glass, it would have been magnificent.

I like this and scored it high. Perhaps if you'd used a bright red liquid, or some contasting color to add some pazzazz.

clever idea -- wish I didn't see your reflection in the glass

Awesome idea, would have been a great pic had you blocked out the reflections in the glass somehow.

I considered a similar shot but rejected it in favor of something else. My cards weren't strong enough to hold up what I had in mind. :) Well done. Good luck with the submission.

Noisey balck background is distracting, great idea though.

good concept. but there's some bad reflections that i think are of you and your dwelling in the glass. maybe hang another sheet or something behind you and take the shot from an angle where you're not in the reflection.

Nice take on the subject. Like the tonal range and choice of lighting. Unfortunate reflection in the glass of room and photographer is distracting to me.

I like the idea, reflection on the glass takes away from it.
