Wow, dahkota, this jumped out at me from the thumb! Very good compositionally. Is that a tri-tone? I like the tone very much. Did you apply gaussian blur? Or gel the lens? I really like the soft focus/blur. I think it suits the image very well, it has a wonderful feel. And still very good detail. I like this photo very much!

Very good idea. Fits the challenge well, IMO. Good composition. I think the soft focus/blur works well with the image in this case. I wish that wasn't a brick wall out the window, it gives kind of a restraining feeling to the concept of the cat looking out at the world for who it misses, if you know what I mean? , and it has that hot spot that seems harsh against the nice gentle softness of the photo.

Very cute child. A good idea, and I like the background. I assume the blur is intentional, but in this case, it seems like just too much, or not working for the image. A slightly tighter crop might strengthen the presentation also, IMO.
