When a 3X Teleconverter Isn't Enoughby scalvertComment: Originally posted by kpriest: Shunning his geographical constraints, this photographer attempts to capture a macro of the miniscule hairs on the posterior of a fly that has landed on the forehead of a Tibetan Monk over 8,000 miles away.

OK, OK, you don't have to blow it out of proportion!
It was only 7,475 miles away.

Doom Watch by ImagineerComment: I had to come back a second time Jon.
I am simply astounded at the pose and 3D feel this shot has.
It defies a 2-dimensional plane and has so much depth to it. I doubt this could be reproduced in the best of studios or controlled environments.

rec hallSM.jpgby MaverickComment: Wow Ben!
What camera/lens combination was this and if you don't mind, I would be interested to see what the pertinant EXIF data was on this (aperature, ISO, shutter, WB, etc)
The lighting is extremely even for an indoor shot like this and the detail is very clear!
Thanks!Message edited by author 2005-04-26 02:15:19. |
