I was on my way home from work and saw how warm the sun made the hills and ground look. A storm had just passed and that is what is in the background. I really enjoy when this happens which is quite often. It makes it so easy to expose both the sky and the foreground. I kept moving down the road shooting, when I cam across these horses grazing. I liked this one the best out of the images I took that night.

Beautiful, in a way the clouds resemble the land, not sure if it was processed as such, but it adds a great sense of balance to the image. Must be top 20 at least. Good luck!

The depth amd the colours is what won a 10 from me on this shot. How the scene is light with the clouds so ominous is great.

Wow, stunning light. Wish the horses weren't all facing away.

The lighting is certainly dramatic. And the horses definitely add to the photo. I think it might have been stronger if it had been cropped below where the clouds start to lighten.

Certain kinds of subjects and treatments are really hard to present well in 640 pixels shots. Where the strength of a photo lies in subtle textures across vast expanses of space, the lack of resolution can really take its toll. I have the impression that some of that is going on here. I think, for instance that the texture in the earth is beautiful but I can just barely make it out. I imagine that the texture in the beautifully lit hills is probably quite beautiful, but in this presentation it looks a little flat. Perhaps some creative burning would enhance the texture.

The raw material in this photo is among the best in this competition IMO. I think it falls just a little short of taking full advantage of its potential.

Nice shot with or without the horsesbut as they are in it would have been better composition wise if the horse in the foreground was at a different angle.

Not sure if its a sharpening or depth of field problem, but the image feels a bit too soft to me, especially in the foreground.

Ohmygoodness!!! What a BEAUTIFUL photograph! I'm sure you could sell this to Outdoor Photography or National Geographic or someone. It's so striking against that dark, turbulent sky, with the light earth tones! You did an amazing job here!!! Congratulations. 10

Sky is a bit overcooked and 'alien' here, but it's a good photo with some clearly excellent light. I'm not sure what else you have brought to the shot though apart from presenting the scene in front of you.

If you had crouched down really low, the horses would have punctuated the horizon line and you could have added dynamics with some grass blades and a massive DOF.
