Civic Del Sol Collageby BradComment: This was simply a project car, mostly to test a Bill Gude Camshaft. The car was a donor, the whole thing was done on a budget, "borrowing" stuff from this and that. The Del Sol is considerably heavier than Civics, making it not a real great choice for the strip. The space-saver steel wheels were done for only one reason - pizza-cutter tires - low rolling resistance kinda' thing. We had aluminums on it the first time at the track. Dumping the ACT clutch at 8,500rpm is a bit of a thrill, especially with it peg-legging. A Quaiff locking differential would have been the trick, but that's more bucks than we had in the whole engine build.
