If there is one thing important in life it's family.

To have the ability to preserve magic, and moments that can never be replicated, at a professional level such as this, is a gift for all the members of your family. Admired now, they will be some of the most precious belongings you will ever know. They would be just as meaningful had they come from a cell phone camera, taken by a 3-year old that had eaten too much Halloween candy and was wired, but at this level of emotion and quality, well, what am I telling you this for - just go take some more!

Nice Jeffery, very nice.

Oh in about 10 years this will be such good blackmail material - you know, a date coming by to meet and be embarrassed by Dad, then in about 10 years, it will be a source of giggles, and 10 years from then, will be perhaps one of the most cherished prints she will own and a source of her children's amusement.

Ohh - just because it was before I joined, doesn't mean I can't appreciate it now - can't help but have a huge grin over this.

OMG Laurent, I feel embarrassed now after the comment I left during the challenge. (The Micheal Jackson part).
Sadly, I still see it and honestly can't look at this image without still seeing it - so sorry.
My apologies to Lorena if / when you see her next.

I'm rather surprised at this finishing this low.
The lighting here is good, her pose and the way her lips are "pouting" in a way, all come out to a rather nice image. The fact that she's very good looking certainly didn't hurt either.

Yeah, suppose any of them would do.
Wish the site had a mechanism in place that required a why on vote extremes, high or low. I saw no comments during the challenge that would suggest a low vote such as that. Like I said, the score was not the issue, as I really don't care if it ended up with 162 votes of 6 and a single 1, so long as the person could at least tell me why they voted a 1.

I know - lemme go find the beating a dead horse icon....

Oh - you forgot one:
"I'm sorry, I just got over a bad case of Jaundice and now I hate Yellow"

hehehehehehe

What a wonderful story and surely a moment in life to be cherished!

Still wish you had a different color background for the pic though, and being almost a "blue screen", in a Hue/Saturation adjustment of +10 Hue and -60 Saturation on just the Cyan would have made a huge difference in my opinion.

Just because I offered during the challenge.

In Photoshop CS2, I took the image above, and did the following:
Open
Image, Adjustments, Match color, clicked Neutralize, slid the color intensity left to 80.
Image, adjustments, Shadow/Highlight, Shadows to 20, Highlights to 10.
Image, Adjustments, Levels, Click Options, Shadows box at 0.5, Highlights box at 0.5 (my defaults), Click OK.
Done.

Real simple adjustments can have a huge effect:

------- Before ---------- & ----------- After -----------

(open each in a new window & switch between them in the task bar to see changes)

Well Graham, 85% on a monster challenge isn't too bad, though I personally expected to see this come in the top 50.
It's that good in my opinion.
No 1's, no 2's, no 3's - gotta' be happy about that!
