This is such a sad photo as I revisit it in my portfolio today. This section of park where I took this photo in downtown Cleveland is saturated with homeless people, in fact nobody but the homeless usually are there. The bushes are dead in large clumps from being urinated on as shown in the photo and the smell is very strong, the ground is littered with cigarette butts and there are always large groups of birds arounds, mostly pigeons.

I walk through this area from time to time, there is a bit of reality that makes you appreciate the life you have and wonder what moment in these peoples lives changed their course to bring them to where they are. I feel bad for many of these people as I am sure they have hard lives, others disappoint me because I see potential for so much more. I try not to be judgemental, because it is not my place to do so.

Now and then its good to look back at work you did a while ago - I love the look of this sky, one of my favorite sunsets that I have ever captured - not sure why - just like it.

Thank you for your kind words, this shot was actually taken on my walk home from work. This photo still tugs at my heart, this man looked so down and out, looking away from everything, it was a very sad moment to capture.
