A wonderful photo or a captivating subject. Great cropping and a nice shot of the subject looking out into the open space. I really like the dark background and the DOF. The lighting on his lower lip and beard is a bit harsh, and is the only bit of nitpicking I can do. One of my favorites and I shall score it accordingly.

This photo had the greatest of potential, but from my perspective was ruined due to post processing. The magnificence of this structure alone should have put you in good stead with the voters of DPC, but what character the building may have possessed has been eradicated by whatever techniques you used to arrive at this end. It is sad... but as it stands I can only vote this a generous 5.

Voodoo tacks

Very cute. Great focus and the smoke really ads to the mystique. However, you may find that some of the voters might not find the tacks and penalize you for it. As an aside, you might have considered some other doll as this one does not seem to fit with the "Voodoo" norm. I do like the candles, but I found the flames could have been a tad more visible. Overall a great photo.

I have to admit that I was one of the people that had difficulty finding the letters in the photograph and that may have been the root cause of your problems.

You might have considered cropping out the windows on the right hand side, as well as the large cement bench at the forefront, since both are very distracting. Reducing the amount of wall shown on the left might have helped also.

I did really like the colour contrast and the sharpness of the photo.

I find the amount of shadows in this image very distracting. A different DOF and faster shutter speed may have improved this image greatly. I do hope your feathered friends return for another visit, and that you can get another clear shot at these beautiful birds.

A wonderful idea...and very well done. I do believe this should do well as it is a great photo with good focus and a well chosen background. The only thing I might have done different would have been to crop the left portion of the image to accentuate the B. Very well done indeed.

This is a portrait in ever aspect of the word, and a very good one at that. I just love the expression on this dog's face. A wonderful capture, which in my opinion should do very well in this challenge.

Very nice indeed and one of my favorites. This photo is one of the four highest ranking photos in my opinion and I truly hope the remainder of the voters think so too. The pose and the expression on the cat's face are truly priceless and your ability to capture this moment in such a clear manner warrants the very high score, which I have given you.
