Dark.by Dan_CottleComment: This is beautiful. I am not voting, but I'm leaving comments on the images that move me for whatever reason. Effective use of light, great exposure control, and significant emotive impact. Not sure about the red duotone being actually "red" in the challenge sense of the word, but I'm not voting anyway so it's neither here nor there. Great image. Congrats! :) |

Old twinsby LevTComment: Beautiful scene. Great color and exposure control; composition is very nice. I wish I could see the tip-top of the tree. Very nice entry. |

Warm House in a Cold Forestby magnusComment: I like the scene itself but I'm not a fan of the major distortion...it works for a lot of things but I don't care for it's use in this instance. Excellent composition and exposure control; color looks good as well. Solid entry. |

Country roadby Rino63Comment: What a bucolic and tranquil scene. I know that cropping wasn't allowed, but after the challenge I think this would be stronger if the left side was cropped almost to the cow, and the right side ever so slightly to get rid of the tiny piece of a branch and the bright white thingy in the background. Still, a nicely captured slice of rural life. :) |

Longingby KenComment: Good use of converging verticals to add more drama to the scene. I find myself longing to see the base of the "star" tree in the foreground. Good use of b/w as well. |

Cousin Itby Tap10Comment: This is incredibly cool and fun. It has a certain look about it that reminds me of a museum diorama or display. Good color and composition. |

Waiting Patiently for Springby karmatComment: Wonderful composition and use of black and white. I hope you don't suffer from anal-retentive voters who believe this isn't about a tree...without the tree the tire swing would be useless. Nice entry. |
