The lighting here is so completely bizarre. Was this really taken at midnight? I'm prepared to believe it, but I can't make any sense of the light on the beach. I'm sure this will make the top 20 (at least as sure as can be) and I think it *should* make the top 10- but who knows. This is a great picture, but it may be too subtle for some voters. Who knows. great colors and textures. i think the image would look more appealing with a different cropping- taking the icicle out of the center. it seems a bit static composed in this way.
