I'm in the mood for...by itripnComment: hm... looks like the word that follows is "love." the lacy womens' garment is what did it for me- nice choice of clothing. it took me a while to figure this out, when I feel like it should have come sooner when the mood is supposed to be clear. i think you might have communicated better with a rose rather than the daisy-like thing (i am no botanist) and the addition of some wine into the picture. the two candles, in their different containers, seem rather arbitrary. placed high in the frame like that, they pull the eye strongly away from the other elements of the picture.
technically speaking, the image is evenly sharp, which is a nice thing to see. and the image does meet the challenge, I think, even if the message is not so clear. but technique and being able to stick to a theme are only half of a good image - this is a 5 to me. |

Serenityby mocabelaComment: the varied lighting and carefull processing look reminiscent of e301's work - though the focus is softer than he seems to prefer. I am left wondering who the photographer is - who took this lovely picture? |

Nostalgicby utroComment: good composition and concept - but I feel like the white background overpowers the figure, especially given the soft focus. (6) |

Teenage Rebellionby aerogurlComment: except for the smudgy lipstick and the upper-lip fuzz, this would make a perfect goth-glam shot. (6) |

Predominanceby deapeeComment: very strong - the DOF is perfect. colors are nice and deep, much to my liking. the barrel of the gun is very low in the frame, though, and makes the image a bit bottom-heavy. (7) |

On edgeby BrinComment: very dramatic and rather weird. the location is quite amazing. I really like how the dark like of cloud at the top balances out the landscape and the figure below. the only change I might suggest would be dodging the person slightly- not enough to make him glow but just the slightest bit to make him a stronger compositional element instead of blending into the rocks.
