My son, Joshua, with a teenage moody goth look. He does not look like this normally. As a matter of fact he has all his hair cut off now. Thanks for being a great model Josh. This is not a real nose ring as someone asked, its super glued on, so is the earring. He wasnt happy when it came time to remove them lol...

On another note, I would like to say that if a moody teenager going through a rebellious mood does not fit the mood challenge then you need to come live at my house, I have two of them, twins, and I am here to tell you that teenagers have serious Moods. I simply can't understand why folks thought this didnt meet the challenge. The tight crop was intentional to make the viewer focus on the eyes and rebellious look.

You did great, and so did your son!! You're right. . .this TOTALLY conveys EMOTION. I think attitude IS a type of emotion anyway. Great job for this challenge!

Although teenagers can be moody, rebelliousness is a attitude or a behavior pattern. The border seems a bit too think, a large border does offset him from the surroundings, reinforcing the separation he seems to try to create between himself and the viewer.

Interesting image. I think the tight crop works well here

crazy kids ... I have a couple just like it. I have learned from my guys that it is what 's inside that counts. I hope your model is happy :)

Great picture! A little much frame work perhaps? 7

Although teenage rebellion isn't exactly a mood, you've portrayed a really good shot of disassociative apathy ;)
I like this, but wish the main photograph was larger. Wide borders are great for framed prints, but just detract in a web image.

gross

Interesting attempt at a high-impact portrait, some of the skin tones have too much glare though... looks like the lighting was a bit harsh.

This seems to be more about attitude...not emotion...really interesting subject though and I really like the black and white.

Oooooooh. . . . definitely emotional. Nice and sharp. The tones work good with the emotion you are conveying.

lol...that nose ring gauge looks way too small, the lipstick shade or color is probably unflattering I'd stick with flat blacks or blues...btw...lol is that really a nose ring?

My first thought...what will this teenager think of this picture, 25 or 30 years from now. This is a great image to do in B&W, as it forces the veiw to concentrate on the details of the lips, eyes, and hair. Great detial, and skin textures, with a facial expresssion that says it all. Nice job. <6>

very good shot and BW, cropping though doesn't work for me, too tight

except for the smudgy lipstick and the upper-lip fuzz, this would make a perfect goth-glam shot. (6)
