An instantaneous gesture. A beloved, protected child. You figure it out. In accordance with the title, this has the feel of a procession, with a minor misstep. It's comfortably busy and well composed. Has a charm to it.

Against my usual tendencies, I like this. The composition is comfortable. The view through to the back is startling, but this is an honest image that easily encompasses it. The man looks natural and at ease. The considerable wiring is there because it's there. It's not at all boring. It's testimony of an ordinary day somewhere. This photo will probably be vastly under-appreciated.

Well-done black and white that animates this straightforward setting with young and old, untold connections and quiet moods. The central column anchors the image as it may divide the people. What's unsaid fills the air.

A long year of work "capped" off by several hours of festivity and abandon, underscored by the misty focus. I like the color continuity that spans the image, from power tool switch to leather glove.

The Way to Eden

I like the focus on the butterfly and flower while the rest of the tumultuous world is out of focus but about to be challenged. It's a cliche to use the word "frail" here, but I can't think of a better one. I'm sure it will prevail, at least in the near future.

Spectacle

Terrific photo-journalism, full of emotion and movement. Beyond that the viewer has no idea what it's all about, so it stands alone as emblematic of whatever drama she/he chooses. Turmoil without context, the viewer is activated without knowing why. Not really to the point, but I wonder if the photographer is moving forward or backpedaling.

Nice portrait of them in this magical moment. It's wonderful how bright-eyed the elder gentleman is, tenderly touching life to life. The blurred vignette is a bit strong, but certainly effective in drawing attention to the heart of the image. Good photograph of time itself.
