ephemerality of existenceby tvsometimeComment: In my humble opinion, these disparate objects could be fancifully integrated to better achieve that surprise that inspires the sense of the surreal. |

That I canby AmmieComment: Soft-core surrealism -- just a touch of strangeness. The inanimate foot gently tapping to the music is subtle and engaging. |

determination by tateComment: A la Magritte, but beautifully expressed in its own right. The shock of juxtaposition and shattering limbs is classic surrealism. I love the colors, with the contrasting onion as exclamation point. She has a lot to cry about. |

High Tea..by thrumyiisComment: Well-done image of a plummeting or lifting free of gravity -- can we tell? -- tea time. A tour de force. Where has Mary Poppins been all these years? Additionally, I love the distortion of the base of the bottle vase. |

still life with magnetic fields (Les Champs Magnétiques)by mariucaComment: Can't go wrong here with dead fish plying the surface world, but it shows great imagination to arrange them so artfully. The "magnetic fields" add that touch of mystery and whimsy within which surrealism thrives. Furthermore, the play of light and dark is reminiscent of the watery realms once again. Very nice. |

sometimesby pixelpigComment: Fabulously suggestive. Embryonic Moby Dick? Nematode? Orchid? One is thrust beyond the clutch of rationality into the availing arms of the surreal. It's suffused with mysterious imminence. Wonderful selection. |
