I love the light here, raking sunshine on the Kress building, yet the patch of sky says twilight to your morning, or vice versa. We're on the cusp of fantasy.

Peering every which way, the concatenation along the x chromosome, the coming to fruition of the train finally at the depot.

The wondrous virtue of the sidelong glance. You've rescued the world with a flick of your eyes.

Yes, the double entendre, the sadness. Beautiful and disturbing. It's the tusk that finally pierces.

The discernible detail around the center sets a worthy noir mood. The small lit up scene fulfills the promise. The two figures seem to be having an interaction that can vary from "got the time?" to "the world ends tomorrow. go home." The buildings along the street are out of central casting. I need to see this movie.
One of three personal second favorites in the challenge.

What a look from this little child! I hope it's a passing instant, because it's hard to contemplate otherwise. The black behind him, the white in front and the checked shirt form a beautiful whole.

Lovely nighttime image. What flow and contours! Mysteriously lit netting -- by moon or artifice -- draws us all the way in.

Terrific bird picture, one of the best I've seen, and would have walked away from the current bird challenge with a ribbon. And tops, in my book, in this high contrast challenge. Sterling stark blacks and whites, then plays with the in-betweens to great effect. Crisp action and rich reflections. I'm not sure about the upper heavy vignette, but it does set off the main show nicely.
Personal favorite.

This is glorious, just glorious. The shadows are as telling as that which casts them. Whatever the challenge I would give it a 10 and rue the constraint. And further still, I would give a 10 to how you're facing your own challenges with determination and heart. Art and pain can be trying friends, always testing each other, pushing each other. Personally, I feel you do your utmost to make things right by your lights, but when it comes down to it you play the hand you're dealt with courage and, again, heart. So, I'm grateful for your gratitude and the inspiration you offer.
