Quiet Timeby cmangisComment: A very appealing image but like so many others in this challenge I am struggling to feel the silence. Peace and tranquility maybe in the heart of a city but this image does not speak to me of silence for the simple reason that cities are noisy places. Still it scores well for its composition. |

Deserted Boardwalk and Beachby coolharComment: I've never been to a beach and experienced silence, particularly not when there are waves breaking. This is an effective evokation of emptiness but not IMHO, silence.. |

Silent Painby nsoroma79Comment: I understand this interpretation but it's not one that I feel relevant.The theme is 'silence' not 'something silent (audible of felt). In that context this image evokes a feeling of despair and anger rather than silence. |
