Last min entry, had to be quick. I literally just got this one in, I posted it just in case, went back did a bit more and lost my chance...

Okay! Lots of enquiries on how it was done. The biggest clue I can give is that the flame was once under my hand.
I literally just turned on the stove, focused on were I thought my hands would be placed a black bookshelf in the BG and set the self timer (keep in mind I only had 1 hour all up to do this) Snapped off a few and went to processing. Being an Advanced rule I knew I could do some replication of images as long as they were all in the same shot. The Hand is out of focus due to the long exposure and me moving. I didn't have time for any fancy jigs to hold things still. Deleted all the BG, sharpened up my hands, cloned out some imperfections and uploaded it with 2 mins to spare. The EXIF should prove how late I did the entry if you’re clever. I suspect I could have done much better if only I had a bit more time up my sleave (pardon the pun) :) Thanks for all the comments.

Interesting way to bend the one image rules.

Very great shot, nice idea how you made it... Maybe next time with some more time, you should get a better image and won a ribbon :D

I really quite like this picture, and I am dead impressed with how you did it and your obviously blatant disregard for self-preservation ;) I thought the pointing finger was totally superfluous though, kind of mockingly detracts from the impressive nature of the rest of the image. Also, closer shot of the important stuff might have worked. Liked both concept and image though - 8.

Cool... a Palm Pilot-Light. Top hand is out of focus, though.

I was going to vote this down, but waited and saw that it was validated, so I want to give you the benefit of the doubt and rate this highly. It is a well composed image and certainly has visual appeal. I look forward to reading the details of how you created it.

Technically a superb image showing great creativity and wit. Emotionally it fails to fire :)) me up though as other photos here do. Still it's a deserved 8.

Love it!
I see you needed validation (after I voted) can't wait to see how you did this. If I put my 'picky' head on the button on the cuff is a little distracting

Really wondering how you did this using only one image (I see it has been validated). The only thing I can think of is that the flames were in e.g. the top left corner and then moved to the hand using cloning. The idea is good but the image is still not very appealing to me, which is a main factor in my voting. 7 for now.

I like the idea, but I can see edges of the top hand, and it just doesn't look right. 5.
