I love the colors, and the photo tells a very nice story. My only problem is with the composition. It feels somewhat unbalanced with the tree trunk at the edge of the frame. It might have worked better if you had either cropped it out completely, or brought it fully into the frame.

Congratulations on the ribbon Daniel! It's a wonderful photo and well deserving of a ribbon.

It's curious that lots of people mentioned the sensor spots, which is a very minor problem and easily fixed, but nobody mentioned the unevenly polarized sky, which often happens when you use a polarizing filter with a wide angle lens.
