Harry Sby vtruanComment: Nice shot but what is the title supposed to mean, is it a refrence to his sucsessor, or did you get it mixed up? As far as the image, nice B&W conversion with silky tones , but a bit too shollow on the DOF, would have been good to get the eye in focus. |

Truffles with Cocoaby bledfordComment: Great use of shallow DOF and I love this angle, it gives an intimacy that put the shot at the top of the class. Might well be on the cover of a cookbook. |

Point of balanceby BrennanOBComment: Yes,I admit it, I stole the purple cloth from Heida( actually a flannel bed sheet as Keegbow pointed out) because it looked less mystic when I did it in a tee shirt. The whole robed in purple adds that Tolkinesque quality that make sword balancing seem less silly. I can do this balance trick with the sword and there are people who can do the wine glass platter on the sword trick, I'm just not one of them. I made up for this lack of skill by sticking a piece of shelving under the books in a bookshelf and perching the tray with the glasses on it, and hanging the sword on a nail hammered in the end of the board. By draping the whole thing with black fabric it hid the support. Cheap trick, but I kept my glassware intact. The lighting sort of failed but it was fun to do anyway. |

Smell The Flowersby Spanish_GreaseComment: I find it interesting that you only find compliments helpfull, a negative comment no matter how well thought out and reasoned is not helpful: yet " A winner" is helpful. I guess some people only respond to praise. Usually the better photographers have thicker skin, and take a crit as a method of understanding what others saw in their work. Nice job. You have a distinctive style. I will try to refrain from wasting further comments on it. |

Splash - milk to the chocolate by joaobaComment: Its not much of a chocolate shot but it is enough of a drop shot to warrant an 8. Only 3 out of 5 for chocotlatyness but full marks for the shot iteslf, I hope you gave details on how you got this great shot. |
