Wind Tunnel - Aerodynamicsby saintnicholas_25Comment: one wonders why any manufacturer, especially Ferrari, would want to check the aerodynamic performance of the rear of the car... HOWever, conceptually i like this very much. It would be preferable if the nose of the testarossa was in focus, rather than the windshield, but on the whole, a pretty good shot, with a cool background and it's very creative. 6. |

Moonrise Over Stonehenge by EddyGComment: and there i was about to phone english heritage and the national trust about trespassers in the dead of night ;) completely got me - i've actually been there a couple of times, and i was totally convinced by your shot. totally excellent shot, and great display of lateral thinking - you should work for NASA or something...

Geometric View of OKC Bombing Memorialby dartompkinsComment: normally when someone uses the line of reflection from water exactly half way up an image, so you have 50/50 symmetry, it just drives me MAD! but here, against all my pre-conceived prejudices, it works really bloody well. indeed, due to the shape of the monument, such composition serves a purpose, and it is very effective. i love the hole in the monument, which is finished by the reflection in the water. sadly, i think i prefer this to the one you selected for the challenge... |

The Pyramid - Long Beach (CSULB) Landmarkby ZippyComment: i really enjoyed this picture - i thought the colours were cool, the angle of shot interesting, and the perspective with all the lines going off in the distance sucked me in... gave this a nine, and it should have finishes higher... |

Mount Blancaby SammieComment: i think the imapct of this is slightly lessened by the inclussion of the river and grasses in the foreground - the fact that they're shrouded in shade is out kilter with how majestically the mountains are illuminated by the low-level sun. cropping the shot 5mm below the top of the green area might have improved composition a bit. certainly a very beautiful shot though, and the dramatic looking scenery is well caught. 7. |

Pride of London by ImagineerComment: cor, a few of you blokes went down to the Tate last week, didn't you? this is a marvellous image of Wrens finest - the lovely blues go very well for the selective desat - which itself works well and has been employed effectively. though, it's so convincing i can't be 100% sure if it was desatted. the bridge, the cathedral, the river and surrounding buildings all work together and forms a wonderful composition - would not look out of place framed and for sale on some tourist friendly stall. excellent job - 10 |

Lloyds of Londonby PeterCComment: hey! i know this building! fantastic isn't it? personally, i found it a right bugger to get a decent shot of it whole (streets are far too narrow), but here you've proved that you can get interesting shots of just a few certain details. the colours are lovely, but there is slight evidence of some excessive post editting (artefacts around the edge of the building). it's a good viewpoint though, and you've certainly captured the industrial feel of this wonderful office building. 7. |

CN Tower - World's Tallest Buildingby Moose101Comment: Well, worlds tallest tower... this is a great photo though - very elegant portrayal of something you get to see quite a bit on this site. i love the greenish tinged mist at the base of the shot, gives a very nice feel to the overall composure. not entirely sure if the narrow width of the picture is to my liking, but overall, great stuff. 8. |

Cat Scan by BradComment: congrats Mr P on a very funny shot and a job well done. i can strongly sympathise with the anguish of violently butchering a poorly, CUTE, defenceless wittle soft animal - my bunny suffered the same way for the sake of art. the guilt should be overwhelming, but when the result is as rib-tickling funny as the above, i think it's entirely justified. all you need is to find a willing old lady to make the suitable repairs to poor old matt.
again, well done!

What Will They Think Of Next?by TommyMoe21Comment: the fact that it's "streak free" just totally adds to the cleverness of this shot. technically (although expertly done and pin-sharp like) it's a bit uninspiring, but it's incredibly likeable and though didn't get a belly laught from me, it has given me a smile. 8 |
