I appreciate the karate move, but I don't find it suitable for this challenge. I guess if it were seriously focused, maybe. I think the crop is too tight to include his whole body. I'd rather you zoom in on his face and upper neck and really detail his adorable face.

This is fuzzy and doesn't suit the formal portrait idea for me at all. The lighting isn't on him and it's more about the tree than the boy. I'd like for you to zoom in on him and get a crystal clear shot of his face and neck. THEN you'd have something. He's a cute kid with a great smile and I'd like to see more of it!!! ;~D

This is a fun take on the challenge. I like the colors. The background is a tad distracting, but considering the location, that's understandable. GOod use of light. Good capture!

Very nice. The eyes are wonderful. I recognize this model and she is super photogenic! The brassy hair with the dark brows is a tad harsh for me. The skin tones seem awfully pale for such dark brows and lashes. Still a stand out amongst others.

This is absolutely outstanding. I love everything about this shot. The lighting, the expression, the "head on the table" sense. Wow - this gets a 10 without hesitation. And the title - if I could vote higher, I would.

Ooh ooh! I want to go there. Can I make a suggestion? Under Photographer's comments, put in a little blurb or two so we know where and when. Not all people do, but it's so fun to hear the history behind a shot.

This is stunning. I love the whole composition. Great dark and light with the snow. Rare chances of that here in Texas so I certainly appreciate the white stuff. Wherever it is, it's a beautiful spot and you captured it well!

Greetings from the Critique Club! :~D

This has a subdued romantic feel to it. I like the perspective and the nicely focused table setting. I think with the backdrop of the sunset, the eye doesn't really have a true place to rest. The complimentary colors of the tablecloth and the background work well, but it seems to have a sense of busy to it due to the clouds and all of the tableware, etc. The woman's blurred silhouette to the left is a tad distracting, but in a restaurant setting, I know it's hard to ask everyone to move so you can get the perfect shot. A tighter crop might have helped alleviate some of the side distraction. The two blurred lines running vertically on the glass hinder the overall quality of the photo as well. Part of that could be due to the late day shot and the lack of lighting. Perhaps since this was an advanced challenge, you could have utilized some of the tools available to fix some of the problems. Overall, it certainly has potential. From looking at your other photographs, I know for sure that you have both the eye and the creativity to continue with some great shots in the future! All the best, Judy
