The Lookby bobdaveantComment: I really like this shot. Talking it over with my daughter, we decided it might be better with the shirt either all the way open or maybe a little touch of navel? Something to break up the expanse of flesh tone.
Really like the tones given to it and the pose. Nice lighting, although a bit bright in spots - it works with the editing done. |

color portrait IIby bobdaveantComment: I really like the expression and the lighting in this portrait. I wish the eyes were just a little less soft, but I like the catch light. I think I'd play around with having it cropped at a slightly different angle. |

Pure Pearlsby bobdaveantComment: This one is really nice. I like the dof and the lighting a lot. I would have liked the pearls laying not quite so flat. One of those headless type necks they display necklaces on would work well here. I agree that the border doesn't help the shot. I don't think it takes much away, but just not needed. |

Early Morning Cleveland Skylineby bobdaveantComment: This is stunning. You should market your Cleveland shots as postcards and prints maybe at a local shop. Your lighting and exposure is wonderful. I'm not a morning person, but you can almost feel that "coming to life" energy that happens in the mornings. |

5:33 amby bobdaveantComment: Beauttiful coloring and exposure. This would make a great print as well. There is a site for sharing Ohio urban area photos. I was just given the information yesterday, and you might also enjoy it. Urban Ohio |

Homeless Manby bobdaveantComment: This is really a nice, natural shot. It makes me want to know more about the subject...especially after reading your notes. Not an "artsy" type shot...just a wonderful, straight-on, personal shot that begs for more information. |

solitude (my first trip to the mountains)by fstopopenComment: Very nicely seen and photographed. The colors are nice and rich all the way through. I think what helps this location work so well is the interesting foreground combined with a lovely view for the background. You have the eye to bring out the best of both in a variety of combinations. |

a photograph is made, not taken.by fstopopenComment: Very cool image. I would have liked a bit more sky at the top where the branch is just a bit cut off, and I would have liked a bit more variety of tone. Even just as it is, I like it alot and gave it a 7 in the challenge. |

Reaching for the Sunby fstopopenComment: This is beautiful. I think the sun flare really adds to the mood of the shot. Feels like I'm standing right there. |
