I think this a wonderfully composed shot. Good find with the colors and textures. What really makes this stand out is the blurred background and the perfect focus.

I wonder what the heck this is. Looks like the top of a lemon pie. The way this is done, it really doesn't evoke any sense of texture for me.

Hmm...ok. Subject doesn't appeal to me, but the lighting is good, the texture is shown stongly. I would prefer a larger DOF.

Texture is there. A little too much contrast for my tastes and the photo subject. really doesn't hold my interest. Maybe a border would help this one.

Really small, and I think the technique here needs more practice to not be overdone in brightness.

I like that shot. Texture is great. Looks like it's in a shop window, and I even like that aspect of it. Nice exposure picks up the detail.
