Pretty! I think I would have either cropped it in closer, concentrating almost 100% on the flower and leaving out most of the background - or had it out a little more, increasing the background and placing the flower more in it's element. I guess I'm saying that I would change the composition. It's a lovely flower and a great subject to shoot.

You might also consider bumping up the saturation just a bit, but not over doing it. The nice thing about flowers is that they don't get bored...take many shots from different angles and lighting. Sometimes even backlighting on the petals looks cool. Thanks for sharing!

Looks like a long way down! I like the angle here...it looks almost like he's hanging onto the tree in the background. Your colors and exposure are also good. Pity you can't see the face from this angle, but I still think it's a neat shot.

Okay, you said you'd like some feedback so I'll jump in.

I gave your photo a 4. I did so because I felt the subject wasn't interesting to me at all, and because I didn't like the composition or the lighting as well. To me, it seemed very cut off on the left. I didn't feel like there were any real impactful features of the shot...the colors seem pretty bland and lighting flat to me, the composition as stated above, and (I'm sorry) but I think the grass covered cat is not pretty at all.

It was in focus and the exposure seemed right, although perhaps just a shade dark.

I'm sorry I don't see the same thing in it as you do, but I suppose that's the way it works many times. If it makes you feel any better, I thought my 2004 shot should have scored better too :) !

Hope the feedback is helpful. I don't intend to offend, but wanted to answer why someone might score it low as I felt I did.

How cute and beautiful is this!? I love it. Catching the "expressions" on the faces is one thing - doing it with wonderful technique and perfect clarity, exposure and composition is quite impressive! I can't find one thing I'd change about it, except to add it to my favorites! :)

I like this a lot. The look of the boy directly into the camera, with a few slight catch lights from the soft lighting makes a great impact. I wish the father was more in focus, but he's really not the focus of the shot IMO.
