A lawn ornament taken after the grass had been cut in May 2004. It was interesting to me to see how the expression seemed to change depending on the angle of the picture

Okay, you said you'd like some feedback so I'll jump in.

I gave your photo a 4. I did so because I felt the subject wasn't interesting to me at all, and because I didn't like the composition or the lighting as well. To me, it seemed very cut off on the left. I didn't feel like there were any real impactful features of the shot...the colors seem pretty bland and lighting flat to me, the composition as stated above, and (I'm sorry) but I think the grass covered cat is not pretty at all.

It was in focus and the exposure seemed right, although perhaps just a shade dark.

I'm sorry I don't see the same thing in it as you do, but I suppose that's the way it works many times. If it makes you feel any better, I thought my 2004 shot should have scored better too :) !

Hope the feedback is helpful. I don't intend to offend, but wanted to answer why someone might score it low as I felt I did.

this is an interesting image. one wouldn't normally think of a statuette having catchlights! nice bokeh, as well. i hope this doesn't get overlooked in this monster challenge, and that viewers will give it the time necessary to appreciate it. good luck in this challenge, and in 2005, as well!

Interesting, but doesn't feel impactful to me.

Neat subject, however, something is missing from it that could really make this picture pop.
