 Taken during the "One Nation Tour" with Mercyme. August 21, 2004 at the Post Gazette Pavilion near Pittsburg, PA. Awesome concert!

I chose this photo for a couple of reasons. First of all, I just have kept coming back to it all year. I took what I think are probably my best shots of the year at this concert.

Secondly, I chose it because other than a slight crop, very little editing was done on this. It was just a good photo to start with and that meant something to me. It was exactly the type of photo I was hoping to get at the concert.

I don't expect it to really compete well with the more widely appealing subjects I'm sure will be evident in this challenge...but for me, it's the photo I'm proud of in 2004.

Thanx for your comments on mine. I gave yours a six. I think that is the picture does well at expressing the moment and is generally well lit. The objections would be that his hand is not on the guitar and yet it is still blurry. I also think a little better angle would have improved it. I know that in these situations you have to take what you can get but that is how I see it. BTW, I would have been happy with a 5 average on mine.

nice shot! live music is so hard to capture well, and you've done a good job here. i hope you're not being overlooked in this huge challenge, and that you are getting some good feedback. good luck here, and in the challenges yet to come!

Either you had GREAT seats (you lucky!!!!!), or a very great zoom lens! Nice "Best of" picture. I'm sure it was certainly a "best of" in the memory department. I LOVE him!!!!

Well this is well focussed and you got close to him, I can't find much else that excites me about this though. THe lighting is a bit ho-hum.
