Amazing image, really love this one: his posture, sitting on that branch (noce DOF on the branch as well) and I do like the background colour in this one, the Kingfisher really stands out. And the reflection in his eye makes is complete.

I like this crop the best, it shows all of the baseball glove; glove and ball tells one story together. The third crop is close second, showing the thumb of the glove leading you to the ball. The second crop misses too many parts of the glove.
As for the image, I like the colours of glove and wood underneath (both having simular green), it both has a ancient look.
