There have been several good feather entries in this texture challenge and all, including yours, fit it nicely. Yours is well seen and quite nicely composed. It could be a bit more in focus and in this case, I'd give the advice that sometimes "less is more." Nevertheless it is a creditable entry and a nice job.

The ribbed texture of this silk certainly accentuates the challenge. The dominating print pattern was a bit tough to assimilate. But it is beautifully photographed. Keep up the good work!

This is so much fun. It's straightforward and to the point and exciting because of the texture, shape and color change. Of course it is beautifully photographed.

It's like Lichens

You know it is lichen and I know it's lichen, but it might be tough for someone to tell that without a rock or whatever formation this is growing on for comparison, so perhaps a Rock substitution for the blue sky would be more exciting. Maybe a little more depth of field would help. Nevertheless, you have an interesting subject and I like it overall.

Your walnut piece is beautifully photographed. If you could have introduced another shape or color contrast to add interest it could really zing. Nevertheless, you did a creditable job. Nicely done.

You've added something new with these good renditions of oil or acrylic paints. It might add some excitement to the composition if you blended them more (on the order of the yellow/blue mix in the upper right. Or in some other way tied the composition together. But it is fun to see the two artforms in action together. Good.

This is a very good take on the texture category. The image is quite sharp with interesting patterns. It might have more excitement if you could introduce a contrasting shape or color to keep the viewer in the picture.
