White Rose 1by taljComment: Another (um, er) I saved this for last, hoping for inspiration. I found it. This is the other universe the other white flower went to and it's just peeking through. (Smily face here)
Seriously though, or at least moderately so, the two that I am calling the (Um Er-s) are nice experiments and I think you have three marketable ones for sure in this batch.
IF that wounded leg of yours is making you turn to macro photography, it's good for something. This is beautiful stuff. Keep it coming. |

White Rose 3by taljComment: (Um, er, )to my all too conventional eyes, looks as if this rose lost its battle with gravity and is sailing off into another universe.

White Rose 2by taljComment: Another beauty. With the foil of the black background, it shows off the lovely texture of the creamy rose. |

Pink Roseby taljComment: This is a classic shot of a rose. One of the reasons it's a classic is that when done well, it really is the essence of a rose.
You've done this well. Frame and hang. |

Flower of Januaryby taljComment: Talj, you can get as many opinions as there are photographers - so here's mine:
I very much like the text font. Actually I very much like everything about this carnation shot, except that "if it was mine" I'd probably crop to just under the carnation bottom eliminating all, or nearly all the dark stuff under the flower.
Better? Worse? Who knows. Different, I suppose. |

Death of a leafby rio78Comment: Well thought out piece. "if it was mine" I'd probably crop out a lot of the background adding more emphasis on the leaves. But it's not, it's yours, and I really like the idea behind this very nice image. |

Untitledby fotomann_foreverComment: Followed the thread with interest.
My comment: To me this model suffers from a severe case of "please the photographer." She's trying to create a pose that you want her to do. Let this nice lady range free to try what she is comfortable with, and see what happens then. |

two tables and a garbage can in snow, grass, leavesby tateComment: Tate, sometimes we just have to shoot to suit ourselves. This is a fine image and is worthy of space in a gallery. Maybe the garbage can did you in? Who's to know. Who cares! I love the compostion and wish you well with all that snow ... with more to come. |

The Lonely Shelterby GiorgioComment: Giorgio, you take something fairly 'mundane' and take it to a different level. This is another example of that.
Where are your very darks, where are your very lights? It doesn't matter, you may give the appearance of breaking a bunch of rules, but you give us a uniquely beautiful image. |
