14-june 08. before&after. wattle & waspby rozComment: the moodiness of this shot with just a bright touch where the creatures are
in focus is so very exciting. You're a past mistress at this Roz. WHAT
will you do when the last wasp goes away!!! |

day18_after.jpgby loveComment: Yes, I also think you got exactly what you were looking for in this really
exciting image. It's an excellent interpretation of your photograph.
I suppose I wouldn't be me if I didn't find something to nitpic about. In this case, the frame surrounding this excellent image appears to be competing with it! Perhaps this 'closing in' effect is what you want. But I do tend to look at the frame again and again, pulling towards it instead of looking at the image. |

day19_after.jpgby loveComment: I admire the ingenuity that you put into this and think you are
on the right track. (but)
If it was mine, I'd probably try to integrate
the cute b/g objects into the composition more. And make the twirly things
in the flower more a part of the overall picture. right now (forgive me) I
think you have a lot of very pretty parts of the puzzle that don't quite
come together yet. Please keep playing with this very clever idea...
(Or not... as I say, it's just my opinion) |

dwood-barstool.jpgby bauerfan71Comment: Okay, you have a terrific action shot going here and room to play with the crop.
My suggestion (for what it's worth) is to give this athlete a little room to drive his vehicle (!). In other words, give him a bit more room to drive into and he won't look so penned in...
It's really great lighting and action. I like it a lot. |
