Mauve-and-Maroon.jpgby jomariComment: M is for Mellow. that was my first impression of this delightful still life. Beautifully composed of family items that work together so well. While that "mellow" indicated how I felt, at first glance, about the colors, it is a word that also works for the family relationships seen here.
Nice one!

Lavendulaby jomariComment: Oh, nicely composed and great colors. In another couple of months lavender will be blooming around here and I'll be there with my camera. Usually we get as many bees as there are blossoms. You too?

J--Jacaranda.jpgby jomariComment: Oh, this is a beauty. Lovely, almost monochromatic colors, and yes, the Jacaranda either is or should be a color.
I remember being in Mexico City once traveling through a 'nice' section of town with great landscaping. There, on a corner were several Jacaranda trees in full bloom with a lovely carpet of petals on the sidewalk. Obviously left there as a design statement, as the rest of the area was pristine.
Enchanting.

Montana Barn 1by MelonMusketeerComment: LOL, yes I see your interest in this one. I'd try to get it too, even at speed. Fun architecture.
the red certainly does take over in the frame. I can see another crop that might also make sense - especially the one that occurs by putting the barn in the lower right sweet spot and cropping out some of the sky.
This advice and a 5ยข piece won't get you a cup of coffee. I'm just playin'.

Yellowby ShakaComment: I saw the thumbnail on this and wondered WHERE did all that orange/yellow come from. Fabulous flower and you captured it well to show off those gorgeous colors. |
